PAWLEEZE don't use soap and water!
Find a good cleanser suitable for your skin type and/or skin conditions (such as acne, etc.).
La Roche Posey is a very nice line that can be bought at the drug store - it's affordable and has products for each skin type.
And, I just started using a product I stumbled across recently called Bioderma. It's a cleanser/make up remover in one that you do not need to rinse away. It's formulated for sensitive skin and it's literally as gentle as water. No burning in the eyes or on open wounds. Decent price as well for a large bottle and a little goes a long way. Actually, it's so effective on eye make up that I don't have to wipe my eyes as much (that's a good thing where wrinkles are concerned!).
Always wash your make up off every day and don't forget to moisturize! What nightly face wash gets rid of make-up?
Soap and water work wonders! Also rubbing alcohol (though it dries out your skin....on the flip side, it gets rid of acne), body lotion (though it's really oily), and finally things like baby oil or vaseline.
Clinique 3 step is what I use.
