i have bad eczema round my mouth and under my eyes. i have a moisturiser from my GP but im 25 and even my own mother told me i look like my dead grandma with fine lines and wrinkles (before she was dead though so i should be glad for that!!)
can anyone tell me what i can use moisturiser and make up wise bearing in mind i am on quite a tight budget?Make up and face care with eczema?
An expensive make up would be better as you pay for what you get. Clinique do some good foundations that are not effected by dry patches. If you go to your local beauty counter they will try some out on you and you will be able to see for yourself. I would say though that you shouldn't wear make up over eczema as there is a risk of infection and it could make it worse.Make up and face care with eczema?
try evening primrose oil...
I'm not sure about the makeup, but i have bad eczema all over my body, so i would recommend cetaphil as a good lotion. It helps and isn't as sticky or greasy as aquaphor. I don't think it's too expensive; you can gett it at Costco or other places.

Femme... hi,
My daughter suffered from eczema for many years.
We found that cutting down on sugars... especially mono-saccarhides helped so much that the symptoms went.
Good luck for the future, and please don't take it all onboard what others are telling you.
You make your own mind up about life and how you fit into it.
Try out some of this, it's from health / herbal shop and I use it on my face, on my eczema all the time, it's organic and can be applied as often as you'd like. It's called 'Calendula Balm' Essentual Care - Organic. It comes in a little white pot and it lasts. It's helped my skin.
I also use Doublebase and when it's really bad, Betnovate (ointment). My doctor has recently prescribed me a cream called ' Differin' - it's pretty strong tho and can cause dryness.
I wouldn't apply a great deal of make up, get you're skin sorted first before you cover it all up in make up as that can dry it out as well, and really you want the eczema cream to heal it and the air to get to it first. Keep going back to your doctor until you find a stonger cream that will clear it up on your face, and tell him that you're on a tight budget!
You need to get to the root of whats causing your eczema.
Cut out all dairy products especially cows milk/cheese etc %26amp; replace them with goats/soya or other alternatives.
You should see a difference.
