half of my face looks slightly longer than the other side.so how do i put make up on and what do i shadow in to make it less noticeable?
thanksHow do i put make up on to make my face(jawline)look more symmetrical?
I'd have to see a picture to be specific with where to place your contour and/or highlight but there are two rules of thumb to follow:
dark recedes
light brings forward
With that in mind, take foundation that's roughly two shades darker than your regular foundation (or purchase a contouring creme/powder in the appropriate color) and apply in the area around your jawline that seems a big longer than the other. At the same time, you might try highlighting the other side to see if that helps to balance it out.
It's difficult to explain in writing but the concept of light and dark remains the same. Here's an excellent video that shows how light and dark can sculpt the face. Just apply the same principle to your jawline on the side that seems a bit longer. This artist even lists an email address where he can be contacted.
